🧠 What Is It?
EntropicCausalWeb is a groundbreaking Grasshopper plugin that animates a web of causal event-nodes governed by entropy, philosophy, and multivariable mathematics.
It’s an artistic–scientific tool designed to explore:
- ⚛️ Emergent events across a probabilistic 3D field
- 🔁 Causal links & feedback loops with entropy-based variation
- 🧮 Multivariable calculus and complex trigonometric polynomials
- 💬 Ontological and philosophical text emissions (chaotic & poetic)
🔧 How to Install the .gha File
- Download the EntropicCausalWeb.gha plugin from
- 👉 www.wickersonstudios.com
- Copy it into your Grasshopper Libraries directory:
- makefile
- CopyEdit
- C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Roaming\Grasshopper\Libraries\
- Launch Rhino, open Grasshopper, and the component will load automatically.
- Look for the new component:
- 📂 Tab: WickersonStudios
- 📌 Component: Entropic Causal Web
🧪 How to Use in a .gh File
- Open Grasshopper, create a new definition (.gh file).
- Drag and drop the Entropic Causal Web component into the canvas.
- Connect the following inputs:
- ⏱️ Time → Slider (0 to 100) or a Timer for continuous animation
- 🎯 EventCount → Number of causal points (e.g., 12 to 40)
- 🌀 Entropy → Slider (0.0 to 1.0)
- 0.0 = total order (sequential links)
- 1.0 = pure chaos (random loops and recursion)
- Optional: Add fancy Display tags or colorized point renderers for beauty.
🧬 Outputs:
- 🔹 EventNodes: Points — spatial entities shaped by entropic field logic
- 🔸 CausalLinks: Lines — ordered or chaotic pathways of influence
- 📜 OntoText: Text — philosophical phrases driven by entropy and time
